Girafe is on the Merle locus and acts similarly! It lightens the whole coat to near-white, showing areas of the basecoat in a giraffe-like pattern of square-ish patches. Patches may have smooth or ragged-edges. Patches must be clear inside and not include lighter or darker patches (see Wild Merle for more detail).

In heterozygous form, Double Girafe has a different expression (see Girafe for more detail).

This mutation is affected by D’or, Briller, Ashen, Reflector, Blacklight, Transparent, Outline, Calliou, Gémifier, Cutout, Ombre and Vitrail mutations.
