Instead of elemental magic, Palais have Aspect magic which allows them to shapeshift parts of their body or colouration into those of other animals! At Deity level, they can even fully shape-shift into their chosen Aspect Animals!

A Palais in an animal form always keeps it’s unicorn horn and it’s colouration. Eg, a Reglisse Palais with a Lace horn will turn into a dark blue rabbit with a lace-patterned unicorn horn! They may however adopt some of the animal’s pattern in when fully transformed, eg cheetah spots or skunk stripes etc.

Before they hit deity, a Palais can transform up to THREE of the following areas into an aspect of their choice (they can mix and match different aspects they have learned):

  • Nose
  • Eyes
  • Ears
  • Feet
  • Tail

Eg, Bob has just learned the Aspect of the Rat, they can transform their feet, ears and tail into a rat’s feet, ears and tail, or they could turn their nose, eyes and ears into a rat’s nose, eyes and ears. They wouldn’t be able to transform all 5 areas at once! The body parts will be appropriately sized for a pony of course. When Bob reaches Deity, they can turn themselves into a whole rat, either a pony-sized one or a rat-sized rat!! Bob will keep his original colour regardless of the animal species, and his horn will stay too!
