When breeding your boucle there are a few things to think about!

Before sending your breeding in

To avoid having your breeding declined or delayed, check the following before sending your breeding in to the group:

  1. Whether there is a current limit on or closing of breedings (this will be listed on the homepage or news)
  2. The genders of the parents!
  3. That both sire and dam are registered with the group.
  4. That you have usable slots to both sire and dam! These need to be written to the account sending in the breeding, even if you have multiple accounts, and need to be marked as usable by the owner(s) of the boucle(s)!
  5. That both sire and dam are 5 years old or older

Some other things that you might want want to check before sending your breeding:

  • If sire and dam are related, as inbreeding can result in birth defects including infertility of the foal!
  • That both sire and dam do not carry dominant white (W)/ornamental white (WO) as this can result in a stillborn foal
  • That both sire and dam do not carry overo (O) as this can result in a stillborn foal
