Varnish Roan lightens almost the entire coat, leaving only the boney parts such as the bridge of the nose and the knees unaffected. As the Boucle ages, the appaloosa spots the Boucle is generally born with fades into the roaning of the body. It may or may not affect the mane and tail. It may create mottled skin.
