Tobiano creates a white pattern starting at the lower legs and extending upwards, often crossing over the back between the withers and at the doc of the tail. The white tends to be aligned vertically. The edges are sharp and tend to have round or oval patches, rather than the jagged edges of for example sabino. It generally leaves the face unaffected, and may leave dark spots in the white known as ‘cat tracks’.
